One evening, my car stalled suddenly while I was driving home; apparently the battery was dead. I had a huge presentation to make at school the next day, I was involved in a legal dispute, and I was already tired and overwhelmed with so much pressure. Now this.
I had been listening to a message about God’s favor and had been confessing His favor over and over again. When I called my car insurance company, they offered to tow my car at no charge. The tow truck arrived in less than 30 minutes and took my car to the dealership.
I found out that the car needed several repairs, including an $800 alternator (not covered by warranty). The total bill was going to be more than $1,000, which represented half of my savings. I told the service representative I would call him back shortly to give him the okay to proceed, but about 10 minutes later, he called me again. He said, “We don’t usually do this, but we will pay for the alternator because we appreciate you as a customer.”
As I yelled, “Thank you, Jesus!” into the mouthpiece of the phone, I thought to myself, That’s the favor of God! The repair bill was reduced to an amount that I was comfortable with, and I’m now sowing and believing that my savings will be restored completely.
